STYLE GURU STYLE: Sleek And Striped

The Altuzarra spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection was effortless, interesting and modern. Knee-length wrap skirts were a staple and a few of the looks featured a black and white striped pattern on the skirt. Dresses, collared shirts and blazers made appearances, but what stood out were the plunging necklines on scoop neck blouses and button-ups. The collection was pattern heavy, featuring a ton of gingham, both black and white as well as pink, blue and red, black and white stripes and a sexy, floral-esque print in nudes and rich orange-reds that decorated figure hugging pieces as well as extravagant, deflated and low-cut layered, floor length dresses. There were textures of black mesh, shiny golds, lattice cut leather and suede in black and an amber brown throughout the collection. Black and white was a leading color scheme of the show, so I decided to experiment with this color combination when creating my look.

I wore a structured, flared skirt with a black and white stripe print and paired it with a white, scoop neck, button-up blouse that I tucked in. In the style of Altuzarra, I added a pastel, creamsicle orange lip and black, ankle strap stilettos. I added my own personal touch with black circle sunglasses, purple nails and a blinged out gold chain necklace.

My ensemble is perfect for dressing up for work, an interview, a business presentation or for anytime when you want to look and feel put together and professional.

Get My Look: 1. A black and white striped skirt. 2. A collarless, button-up blouse. 3. A pretty, pastel lip color.
