STYLE GURU STYLE: Simply Perfect

I love searching through the fashion shows on Style.com to see the latest trends. Typically the fashion show collections I look through are full of glamorous dresses or outrageous pieces that I would never consider wearing in public. That was until I came across the 6397 resort 2016 collection. The outfits are casual, comfortable and minimal. The collection includes a lot of denim, loose T-shirts, white blouses and flannel (which is 80 percent of my closet). It was interesting to browse through a runway collection that had such a “going to class” vibe.

It was easy for me to translate the trends from the runway show into my own look. I started by wearing my favorite American Eagle Outfitters jegging destroyed crop jeans. I paired this with a plain white tank top and knotted it in the middle for a more flattering look. I also wore a cardigan wrapped around my waist that day (half because I would maybe get cold throughout the day and half because I just think that it is super cute). I kept my accessories minimal just like the 6397 collection and wore a handmade bracelet I got while traveling in the Caribbean, a pair of sunglasses and some brown sandals from Target which are amazing. I own these shoes in black also because I love them so much. Lastly, I left my hair in its natural waves and tied half of it up in a bun to keep it out of my face. Overall, I love a casual outfit like this that I can wear on a nice summer day.

Get My Look: 1. White tank top. 2. Destroyed denim. 3. Cardigan.
