STYLE GURU STYLE: Simple and Modern

The spring 2015 ready-to-wear show for Tibi was exquisite as ever and exuded minimalistic and classic styles that any girl would love to wear. The simple looks and solid colors in this collection inspired the look I am wearing today. I wanted to wear something that was easy to throw on but still looked effortlessly chic. Tibi has a wide range of options from casual day looks to more elegant evening peices. My style can be summed up as classic, minimal and trendy, which is Tibi’s design aesthetic.

Today I wanted to mimic the minimal and trendy look of Tibi into my outfit. I threw on a navy button down blouse with my favorite slim boyfriend jeans. This blouse is rather boxy so I tucked it into the front of my jeans to give it a more relaxed look and to accentuate my shape a little more. The weather is getting pretty warm here in Texas and reached almost 80 degrees today so I decided to crop my jeans by rolling them up and opted out of wearing a sweater. I love this break from the winter cold but I am sure it won’t last long.

To finish off my look, I wore my favorite ballet flats by Sam Edelman that match almost everything in my closet. They are so comfortable! I could go the entire weekend without taking them off. They are the perfect shoes for walking long distances or running errands in. I accessorized my simple look with a Kendra Scott drop necklace and wanted to keep it minimal and not distracting. In Tibi’s show you see little to no jewelry present in the collection and I think this does a great job keeping the focus on the design of the clothes.

This spring 2015 ready-to-wear Tibi show really inspired me to keep my look minimal and trendy but still add some solid colors. I can’t wait to put together more looks like this from my closet!

Get My Look: 1. A simple blouse. 2. The perfect pair of slim boyfriend jeans. 3. The most comfortable ballet flats.
