STYLE GURU STYLE: Seventies

The ‘70s have been back in style for a while now and to be honest, I hope it’s not leaving anytime soon. It’s a decade that’s easy to work into your wardrobe during any season. I’ve had my eye on Rebecca Minkoff’s fall 2015 runway looks for a while now. I love nothing more than part rock ‘n’ roll, part ‘70s fashion and Rebecca Minkoff put them both together to make the best collection yet.

I mainly pulled from the ’70s side of her collection by incorporating fringe, a mock turtleneck and some statement feather earrings. The collection was beyond perfect but I thought one thing was missing: a denim skirt. In my opinion, a denim skirt is a pretty bold move so I always make sure to mix accordingly. That’s why I picked this ivory mock turtleneck to go perfectly with the denim. I’ve been hesitant to buy a denim skirt all year but after finding it online for $12 dollars at SheIn, I felt as if I had no choice. It’s definitely a must buy!

To keep it in the ‘70s fashion, I paired the outfit with these cute yet still super easy to walk in wooden clogs. I have yet to get a “What are those?” comment so I must be doing something right, right? I kept the jewelry very simple with a pair of golden statement earrings that match the gold frames on my Ray-Bans just perfectly. Finally I put it all together with my Burberry dream bag—the Large Ashby in Fringed Suede and Canvas Check, which probably will be staying on my arm 24/7 this fall. This outfit is perfect for a seasonal transition and is totally ‘70s. Right on!
