STYLE GURU STYLE: Rock a Dress Every Season

No matter what time of year it is, a dress will always be my first option for an outfit! Dresses are my absolute favorite item of clothing, and you will definitely see me rocking a few of them throughout spring, summer, fall and even winter. I love dresses so much because they make me feel so girly and are so fun to wear. There are also so many different fun ways to style them depending on your own personal style. Personally, I feel like I have mastered that skill since I’ve been in love with dresses for a while now. I think I own about 50 dresses and in my closet they are separated by season: fall/winter and spring/summer. I love seeing them all hung together and seeing the diversity in color and style for each of the seasons. In this post, I rocked one of my favorite fall/winter dresses, and I show you how I styled it for this kind of weather.

The dress I’m wearing is this lovely quilted dress that I got from Target, and it is kind of thick, which is perfect for the chilly weather. I paired it with some cozy brown tights as well as these cute socks with little white ruffle detailing to match the top I was wearing under my dress. Wearing a long sleeve top under a short sleeve dress is one of my favorite trends because not only does it look cute, but it keeps you warm. Furthermore, to add more of a glam vibe to the outfit, I added this faux fur vest and a pretty crystalized choker. Another accessory I added was my favorite leather handbag to match the shoes and the vest. Finally, I finished up the look with my short black Chelsea booties to show off the details of the socks.

There are so many different ways to style a dress depending on the season, while at the same time, remaining true to your style. I like my look to be very glamorous and feminine so another way I would style this dress is maybe by wearing a black turtle neck and a sparkly statement necklace. I might also pair it with a nice cardigan and a pair of heels. Whatever your style is, you can definitely find a way to add a few dresses to your wardrobe and rock them any way you like!
