STYLE GURU STYLE: Quilted Espadrilles

With spring comes the official start of music festival season! If there’s anything I love more than music, it’s definitely fashion, and these events bring out the most unique kinds. Coachella especially, causes the bohemian hippie to come out in everyone, and each year I look forward to seeing all the cool outfits. Unfortunately I cannot afford this lavish festival with my college struggle budget, but who says you have to physically be there to participate in the fashion?

There were many runway shows that featured some bold prints and trends for this season, but one of my favorites was the espadrille trend. My favorite was the Moncler Gamme Rouge spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. These extremely comfortable shoes have been seen all over the runways and blogs for being a spring must have. The best part about them is that they come in such a wide range of styles and designs; so there’s truly a pair for everybody. Whether you prefer a flat, a really high wedge or something in-between, you’re bound to find the perfect one to add to your wardrobe. These shoes are perfect for music festivals because they’re comfortable enough to walk in all day and super cute at the same time.

For my Coachella-inspired outfit, I wore classic denim overalls. They’re easy to throw on and cool enough to endure the scorching heat. Crop tops are a must during this time so I added a plain white one underneath. As for the star of the show, my espadrilles are a neutral two-toned color with a quilted detail that adds texture to the look. To finish off the outfit, my burgundy floppy hat served as a pop of color and even added protection from the sun. Hopefully this look gave you some inspiration for upcoming music festivals!
