STYLE GURU STYLE: Preppy Boho

The Juicy Couture spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection is fresh and renewed. It has a bohemian ’70s look to it and is totally different from the typical Juicy Couture collections. The show was filled with maxi dresses, light wash and distressed jeans, preppy shirts and sailor pants. This collection has combined a traditional classic look with a vintage one to reconstruct its style.

I am wearing light wash distressed jeans with a brown belt, combined with a white shirt that features a deep V-neck. Inspired by the Juicy Couture spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection, my shirt has black stripes that draw attention to both the neckline and the cuffs and give my top a pulled together preppy look. I tucked my shirt into the front of my pants to spice it up and to show off my belt. I am wearing brown sandals on my feet to add to the bohemian vibe. I also have brown sunglasses that give off both a preppy and carefree feeling.

Mixing two styles can be fun. Creating your own style is all about wearing what is comfortable to you, but it’s also about taking risks and discovering something that fits your personality. If you feel that your personality is stuck between two or more styles, then it is a great idea to mix them. That is when creativity happens, and the outcome is usually spectacular. Like the Juicy Couture spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection, I mixed a preppy style with a bohemian one, but you can try mixing several styles together to get your own unique look.

Get My Look: 1. Any pair of light wash distressed jeans. 2. A deep V-neck top. 3. Any pair of sunglasses.
