STYLE GURU STYLE: Pop Of Print

The T-shirt dress has always been a friend of mine, yet finding the perfect one is sometimes a harrowing experience. So many of these dresses are either too short, see through, or not flattering on my somewhat curvy hips. When I find the perfect one I feel as if I won the lottery and no, I’m not over exaggerating. The perfect T-shirt dress is just the right amount of comfort and sophistication. With these pieces they are incredibly easy to dress up or down, this is a must for anything in my closet.

Print is the next thing I look for in a great T-shirt dress. And in Paul & Joe’s resort 2016 collection, prints are the MVP. I was drawn to the ’70s vibe of the washed white and especially all of the denim. In this collection I was particularly taken with the red, off white and blue striped t-shirt dress, the ease of this beautiful look inspired me. Especially when ease is one of the most important criteria for all of my ensembles. I decided to mix it up a bit and instead of going with stripes, I went for a marbled texture.

For my look, Instead of going with a sailor themed print I went a little edgy with a modern marbled print. Paired with my favorite tennies, my all white Vans and a dark acid wash jean jacket to let my inner punk shine through. My jean jacket features a big leopard print furry patch running down the back. And who says you can’t have a pop of print?

Get My Look: 1. All print T-shirt dress. 2. Rocker jean jacket. 3. All white Vans.
