STYLE GURU STYLE: Plein In Pink

To bring this semester to an end, I have to finish with a STYLE GURU STYLE. I’ve added some much needed pieces into my wardrobe and kept some of my old favorites. In my look, I drew inspiration from Philipp Plein’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. This line features monochromatic pieces with different textures and patterns, but my favorites were the sports jerseys.

Now, I know it’s not always ideal to wear a boxy silhouette, especially with my broad shoulders. But I loved this bold green top. It’s a fraternal twin to some of the pieces we see in Plein’s fall collection. With the jersey numbers placed on the front, Fashionistas do not have to worry about their hair covering the design on the back of the top. When you think of spring, you should often be reminded of the colors pink and green. By pairing this top with my pink kate spade bag, everything coordinates perfectly. It has a great pop of color for any Fashionista’s spring accessories.

To complete the look, I added my boyfriend jeans. These jeans have already gotten their wear this spring, and I’m so excited to take them straight into summer. Their distressed acid-washed design works for any outfit. My Chinese Laundry wedges add length to my legs. They have the perfect peep toe, design and height. These can be worn during either spring or summer; they just need some sunny weather. This outfit is ideal for going to the baseball park this spring. I’ll blend right in.

Au revoir for now fashion junkies!
