STYLE GURU STYLE: Perfect In Pineapple

What better way to beat the heat of summer than to wear a romper? There are so many great things about living in the South, like Southern hospitality, great food and many friendly people. One of my only complaints would be the humidity that the summer brings; Arkansas has a lot of it! Frizzy hair and sticky clothes are extremely common. Anything that is loose and easy tends to be repetitive summer items. One of my favorite summer outfits was inspired by Nicole Miller’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. This collection contained different floral prints and even a print called “origami pineapple.” This collection used beautiful colors such as peach, jade and coral; it was so fun and inspiring.

I saw this flared, pineapple print romper at Charlotte Russe and couldn’t resist. With such a fun, bold print and bright, illuminating colors, it easily becomes a statement piece. I loved how Nicole Miller used pineapples in her collection to make a statement and I wanted to do the same. I decided that since my outfit was bold, I wanted to complement it with softer jewelry and accessories. I chose my Knotted Tassel Necklace from Eula Fern’s to elongate my look. I love how the gold complemented the bright blue! I wore a simple nude wedge to keep it casual. With my makeup, I chose this Mesmerizing Magenta lipstick from Maybelline. I have always been a huge fan of Maybelline’s matte lipsticks. I feel like this bold color really brought my look together.

One of the best parts about this look is that it will not break the bank! I was able to achieve this entire look for under $50. Nicole Miller’s collection is so much fun and I hope you will find it as inspiring as I did!
