STYLE GURU STYLE: One Of The Boys

We all have those mornings where we wake up and hit snooze 30 times. We end up rolling over 20 minutes before class to fling our hair up and put on whatever we threw on the floor from the day before. Problem is, we look crazy. So the question is: how do we remain lazy and fashionable at the same time? I think I have the answer: the jogger. The 6397 fall ready-to-wear collection blends the perfect balance between lazy, cool and stylish. The aesthetic of the brand and their collections are consistently boyish and loose-fitting. I loved the heavy monochromatic pieces and use of dark colors. I’m a sucker for dark colors because they are versatile and warm. It’s been too cold for thought in Greensboro, and the wind chill has been numbing my knees, even through my jeans. So today, I opted for more room to layer.

The jogger is everywhere, and up until a month ago, I would’ve burn you at the stake for wearing a pair. But the store I work at had the cutest prints on clearance, and I couldn’t resist the urge to try one on …and I doubt I’ll be wearing jeans anytime soon.

I layered these airy joggers with some undetectable leggings to keep warm. I paired these with a baggy navy turtleneck that makes me feel both smart and super chill. It is warm as it protected my chest and neck from the arctic temperatures yet still not bulky. I loved the use of skater shoes in the collection, even with the more traditionally formal aesthetics. I wore my trusty flatform sneakers to add some extra height, and the white sole is gorgeous, adding a cool look to the outfit.

Get My Look: 1. Killer shoes. 2. Warm, cozy sweater. 3. Fun joggers.
