STYLE GURU STYLE: One and Done

The Zuhair Murad fall 2015 ready-to-wear turned heads with their endless line of black jumpsuits. This, of course, was breathtaking for me. First, because black is my favorite color for countless reasons, and second, because of how the models effortlessly rocked an outfit with only one contributing factor, a jumpsuit! They did not need heavy jewelry and bright colors because the single piece was enough. Imagine throwing on a jumpsuit and already having an entire outfit. One and done!

My take on this runway trend is a little more relatable: overalls, a basic clothing item that is attainable for any college wardrobe. You can dress them up or dress them down. Buy a pair of light wash jean overalls as the perfect attire for afternoons running to class or a pair of black slim-legged overalls for fancier occasions.

Overalls are no longer just for cowboys and miners. They are for Fashionistas and spring is the perfect overall season! Mix it up by changing what you put underneath. Wear with a chic bodysuit and some platform sandals to the music festival with your besties. Wear with a graphic T-shirt and some tennis shoes if you are running out to the grocery store. Or dress them up by wearing a bandeau top and a bold statement necklace for date night. The important thing to remember is that a perfect pair of overalls can have you looking chic for any event.

Get My Look: 1. Black overalls. 2. A pair of nude suede heels. 3. A floppy hat.
