STYLE GURU STYLE: Nothing Comes Between Me and My Goldschmied’s

Every girl should have three staples in her closet: a comfortable pair of well-fitting jeans so she can finally ditch those leggings, a great white tank top to dress up any outfit and a pair of wedges comfortable enough to wear every day.

The inspiration for my look was J.Crew’s signature straight fit white blouse from their spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection, and the denim, street style influences of Madewell’s fall 2015 collection. I chose the same denim and chiffon fabrics and kept the fit relaxed. My goal was to take the classic white and denim combination and turn it into a unique, night out on the town ensemble.

To achieve this look, I traded the traditional box cut blouse for a flowy and funky tank. I replaced the boot cut boyfriend jeans with more fitted denim. I added a patterned accent bag and braided ankle-wrap wedges for interesting contrast.

The Clarte lace trim chiffon tank top with a square neckline from Greylin gives the outfit a relaxed fit vibe. The lace trim offsets the box cut and adds movement to the blouse-like tank. My jeans are The Legging Ankle-7 Years Break Me Down by Adriano Goldschmied. The ankle-wrap sandals, dubbed the “Jen Aniston wedge,” are Stuart Weitzman’s Alex crochet wedges in swamp. What better way to complement neutral wedges than with a classic print vintage Burberry bag? The cool palate of the shoes and bag mixed with the denim create a visually appealing outfit and attention getting look.

Get My Look: 1. Comfortable jeans. 2. White tank top. 3. “I can wear these everyday” wedges. 4. Statement bag.
