STYLE GURU STYLE: New Inspiration

Baja East took the runway for spring 2015 ready-to-wear by storm. The whole look is based around effortless fashion and works to make “comfy” fashionable. I think one of the biggest changes that is evident through this show was the change of fabrics to a looser more relaxed fabric. Baja East also played with shape, using capes and draping cloth as a change in look.

For my outfit I decided to pull inspiration from the color and fit of most of the outfits. I think one of the more inspiring ideas from the show is that “the clothes can speak for themselves.” I think I really found this when I decided what to wear.

The loose fit of the clothes I decided to translate into my shirt. It is a halter top with a high neckline. The rest of the top is in an A-line shape away from the body. I also chose to stick with the blue color and soft pattern to complement the rest of my look. For pants I decided to go with white jeggings, which I rolled at the bottom. These pants are perfect because the length can be adjusted depending on the temperature outside.

Lastly, one of my favorite parts was picking out the shoes for this look. Thanks to the warm weather, I was able to wear sandals, which are my favorite type of shoes. I paired the whole look with tan wedges that have a flowers in a 3D design. These add the perfect pop without being too dramatic and taking over the whole look.

Get My Look: 1. An loose fitting, A-line top. 2. Some cute jeans. 3. A pair of eye-catching wedges.
