STYLE GURU STYLE: Neutral

Ralph Lauren’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection gave me some much needed inspiration for the upcoming spring season. Though technically this collection embodies all that will come fall 2015, I gathered some ideas to transition some of these looks for the warmer weather that is to come. Thankfully, this collection featured lots of essentials that work in a variety of seasons so it wasn’t too hard of a task.

The collection featured lots of nude, suede and faux fur in various shades of browns and creams. I loved the neutral palette of the collection. Everything beautifully coincides with these colors, making it much simpler for those who have been wanting to break into this colored trend by matching similarly colored elements into one completed look. I’ve never been too fond of this trend on myself, always preferring a darker (black) palette on myself. However, I decided to give it a go and I’m glad I did.

I started off with a very basic white and lacy dress for my ensemble. I thought it would be the perfect base for the array of brown shaded clothing items I had in my closet. Since it is still a bit cold here in California, I threw on a fuzzy brown sweater, one of my favorites this season for its ability to keep me warm yet stylish. It is perhaps one of the most comfortable items in my closet this season, and I have been making sure to take full advantage of it these past few weeks. I finished off the look with some amazing brown suede knee-high boots and tan knee-high socks; I’m happy to have finally had a chance to break these out.

My final outfit is a very casual look, perfect for those who need to run a few errands but love getting a bit dressed up to do so.

Get My Look: 1. Brown fuzzy cardigan. 2. White dress/romper. 3. Suede knee-high boots.
