STYLE GURU STYLE: Neutral-Chic

It’s no secret that I love leopard print. Its a sassy and sophisticated look, goes well with nearly any wardrobe piece and is great for both casual outfits and fun, going out ensembles. When I came across leopard print in the Altuzarra pre-fall 2015 collection, I fell in love. Looking at the garments in the collection, I immediately thought of my leopard print romper and knew I could take some major fashion inspiration from this collection.

The collection not only features a few leopard print pieces, but mainly focuses on a very tailored and classy use of clean neutrals. Shades like army green and light khaki play a large role in the ensembles and are neatly displayed in posh pencil skirts, loose blouses and belted jackets and vests. Overall, the collection is an elegant and chic take on both casual and upscale classic looks.

Taking inspiration from this collection, I paired crisp neutral shades with leopard print, as seen in many of the looks. One look in particular features a leopard print pencil skirt with a loose blouse tucked in and secured with a belt. I was mainly inspired by this look for its elegance and personality! Most looks in the collection are belted with either a thick or thin black belt, so I belted my romper at the waist. I added a light khaki-hued cardigan to imitate the look of the tucked in blouse. The majority of the looks in the collection were accessorized with ankle strap sandals, so I had to wear my favorite pair. Finally, I added a dainty bracelet for a bit of sparkle.

Get My Look: 1. Leopard print romper. 2. Black waist belt. 3. Neutral-hued cardigan.
