STYLE GURU STYLE: My Palazzo Romance

Dear friends, the enticing Atelier Versace’s fall 2015 couture collection has won the inspiration of my heart. Effeminate colors plus chiffon silhouettes equal a fashion romance. I enjoy witnessing couture and its abundant details in order to fulfill the designer’s vision. Donatella mentioned this collection was to show a softer side of Versace. Her vision was succeeded and the mood was filled majestically with desirable romance. The free-flowing silhouettes inspired my outfit to endure the high temperatures of the remaining summer.

Is it just me or did this August heat arrive spontaneously like a brick? I am not going to lie, this heat has me fashionably challenged. I often questioned myself every day: what I can wear besides a simple pair of shorts? My conclusion is (drum roll please) a pair of palazzos. These pants are long, however, just like Versace’s collection, they flow freely and are perfect for the summer breeze. The exterior of these pants is composed of a sheer, printed material while the interior is a pair of shorts. Palazzos, culottes and harem pants are perfect for the summer heat because of the loose silhouettes. The wide-legged trend is growing stronger and stronger. However, that is just the fascinating cycle of fashion. We passed the skinny leg trend and entered into something widely new.

I matched the palazzo pair with a black cropped top showing off some midriff and a masculine, elongated vest. Putting together this look, I added a masculine touch with the vest to contrast the femininity of my look. It is always good to mix things up because it is a way to display your personal style.

Get My Look: 1. Palazzo pants. 2. A black cropped top. 3. A masculine, long vest.
