STYLE GURU STYLE: Moroccan Motivation

In the ever-changing world of fashion, there are many ways to go about creating a new line. Some designers look to the past for inspiration. No one does this better than Tory Burch. Her penchant for reviving styles of the 20th century reaches new levels when combined with themes from different cultures. My outfit today was heavily influenced by her fall 2015 ready-to-wear line. The line is full of loose, flowing lines and Kilim patterns in shades of navy, gray and red. This Moroccan-inspired collection puts an innovative twist on her traditional boho-preppy vibe.

In this outfit, I am wearing intricately patterned woven joggers. These pants pay homage to Burch’s most recent line both in pattern and style. They are loose but not baggy and are designed for both comfort and style. I paired them with a loose, sleeveless blouse with a little bit of structure to play into both the preppy and bohemian vibes of the line. Lastly, my sandals completed the outfit.

This look is timeless because it can easily be transformed to fit so many different occasions. Switch out sandals for flats and it’s perfect for a day at the museum. Add a cable knit cardigan and you’re ready for a day spent reading in a coffee shop. Take a page from Tory Burch’s line and add the matching blazer to make a casual suit set that will brighten up any summer day spent in the office. The possibilities are endless when the heart of the line is as enduring as this.

Get My Look: 1. Woven joggers. 2. Sleeveless blouse. 3. Birkenstocks.
