STYLE GURU STYLE: More Shoulders, Please

There are so many cute trends to chose from for this spring and summer. Off-the-shoulder tops are just one trend that can be seen in Vogue and ELLE magazine as well as several other fashion magazines and blogs. You can find an off-the-shoulder, cold shoulder or even a one-shoulder top at almost any retail store. I snagged mine from Zara, and now I am constantly on the hunt for more. The must-have spring shoe is anything that laces up, whether it’s lace-up flats, sandals, heels or wedges.

This trend is a classic, and every Fashionista should have at least one off-the-shoulder statement piece in her closet. It can easily be dressed up or down, and as you can see, I went for a more casual look by paring it with a destroyed skinny kick jean. I actually bought these jeans without holes and decided to add some to create that distressed look, and it was super easy to do. I then added a simple but bright colored necklace to add a little more color. I also added a soft matte lip by MAC, which is my favorite everyday lip look, in Pink Plaid. To finish my look, I threw on my favorite flats right now and they are the lace-up flats by Steve Madden. I could wear these shoes everyday, I am just so in love with them and the trend.

There are just so many awesome trends for this spring season. I find myself searching for off-the-shoulder and lace-up shoes everywhere I shop and they are so easy to find. If you didn’t already own either of these two trends, I hope you are now inspired to add them to your spring and summer wardrobe. Happy shopping!
