STYLE GURU STYLE: Military Inspired

So we all know what has been consuming my week these last couple of days: Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2015. One runway look that really inspired me was Michael Kors spring 2015 collection, feminizing the rugged military look. Michael Kors used army greens and detailed, angled lines in his clothing. As a Style Guru I’m constantly trying to keep up with the latest fashion. However, bringing a look from the runway to the classroom can be tough to do. Well check out this week’s take on how to transform this army green runway look to the perfect campus attire.

Incorporating my army green colors into my winter outfit I paired this olive sweater with the plaid green and blue scarf. These two matched up perfectly and are a great combination to not only keep warm but also maintain color and style in my winter wardrobe. When walking to class everyday it is important to stay comfy and bundled up. I wore this edgy grey jacket to give this look so edge and add some texture to the green sweater. I wore think black leggings and completed the look with converse white high tops. My grandpa loved these shows when I wore them home last weekend! They are a throwback to the 1960s and like all fashion trends they were stylish then and are now very popular. These shoes are one of my favorite shoes to wear because they are comfortable and a switch up from boots. I finally switch out the usual school backpack for a classic navy Tory Burch tote bag. She also displayed her spring 2015 collection and I was feeling inspired this week on campus.

As far as my style is concerned I’m constantly feeling inspired. It is important to always be confident in the outfit you are wearing. When you are confident it shows. What you wear says a lot about you and it is important to be true to yourself. So stay warm and comfortable but also stay stylish.
