STYLE GURU STYLE: Master Class

With back to school time drawing near and Staples re-purposing the holiday classic “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” one can’t help but think of beautiful college campuses waiting to be claimed again by the many students that left for summer vacation. Recently, I acquired a bunch of cute A-line mini skirts, which are the most flattering cut on almost anyone.

The Rebecca Minkoff fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection is an ode to bohemia with a lot of A-line mini skirts, fringe vests and leather. The mixture of color, texture and pattern create an eclectic look that any woman can emanate and make her own.

I was inspired to play with my collection of A-line skirts and instead of “La Vie Boheme,” I played around in the world of color, texture and pattern by using my plaid A-line mini skirt. In keeping with the theme of the collection, I added a leather vest on top of my off-white Portofino shirt. Of course, leather boots were a must after looking at Minkoff’s collection for fall. I cannot wait for the weather to get cooler because those cutout tights look divine; but instead, I featured a bare leg to match the summer air. The cherry on top of my look was a structured Rebecca Minkoff bag that is reminiscent of an old-school bookbag with a modern twist in color.

Minkoff’s fall 2015 collection is perfect for the changing leaves and crisp air. The elements of A-line mini-skirts and vests are great pieces to break down for all your fashion needs. This look easily goes from summer to fall, as the weather gets colder, the layers you add will make you look even cooler.

Get My Look: 1. A-line mini skirt. 2. Vest. 3. Leather boots.
