STYLE GURU STYLE: Like One of Your French Girls

Many Fashionistas/os have jumped on the boho bandwagon this summer and embraced the flowing, charming trend that takes them straight to the Eiffel Tower. This French-inspired trend was tackled on the runway by the one and only Clare Waight Keller in Chloé’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. It didn’t stop with the traditional cheesecloths and gladiator sandals, although they were very prevalent in the looks; she added denim to the flowing and free shapes on the models. I couldn’t help but think of my own boho-inspired look as I browsed through the collection’s 39 designs.

Besides Chloé’s lovely fabric choices and flowing silhouettes, I was stuck on the gladiator sandals, natural hair and pairing of denim and lace. I wanted to take the look off the runway and tweak it to be ready for a day out! I paired a loose denim jean shirt with lace cream shorts, short snakeskin printed gladiator sandals with a slight wedge and a belt to fit to my waist and create more shape in the look. I added gold accessories that could complement Chloé’s simple gold accents some of the models wore on the runway. The natural hair and minimal makeup tied together my look and made it summertime ready!

This outfit would be perfect for a lunch out with friends or a daytime party! Denim can be worn in so many ways; I personally love denim, and pairing it with cream is a beautifully simple summer accent. The Chloé spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection really inspired me to stay natural with earthy accents, which is perfect for the summer months!
