STYLE GURU STYLE: Light And Simple

Now that the spring semester of my freshman year is coming to an end, I have been thinking a lot about the beginning. I find myself wondering if whether I have changed or not. To be honest, I feel the same. I’m the same girl, however my world is certainly changing. Throughout the year, I feel as if my style has developed. My latest obsession is minimalism and once finals end, I want to clean out my entire wardrobe and begin the summer vacation with a fresh start by adding more white and neutrals.

I know that we are in spring, however, I was completely drawn to the color palette of Banana Republic’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. I love the way each outfit focuses  on a specific set of colors and how they are all represented. For my look, I decided to wear a soft blue leather jacket with a white sheer blouse, denim leggings and a pair of neutral oxfords. I loved adding the leather jacket, it can turn any outfit around no matter what I’m wearing. Instead of making the outfit edgy, the soft blue gives it sweet touch.

Looks become warm and light when mixing fall tones in the spring. Another one of my goals is to apply more monochromatic color schemes into my style. I am so excited to start fresh again! That’s the great thing about living in New York City, I get to experience all the four seasons. Once a season ends, there is always a new beginning to look forward to.

Get My Look: 1. Blue leather jacket. 2. Oxford shoes. 3. Watch.
