Everyone needs the perfect trench coat. You can dress it up or down. It is perfect for transitioning from fall to winter, and from day to night. It is a staple item that has been reappearing through out the fashion industry since the 1850s. It can be worn by men, women and even children. It is a timeless item that is versatile and classy.
My inspiration comes from Victor Alfaro’s pre-fall 2016 collection. I stuck with the same colors in his collection, which included tan, black, red, white and gray. His collection also incorporated some gold colors within the accessories. I chose to dress up this look, but you could dress it down easily with black riding boots, jeans and a black long sleeve shirt.
To create my look, I paired a black fit and flare dress with black tights and black suede ankle boots. I added a classic tan trench coat to represent Alfaro’s collection. To accessorize, I added gold drop earrings, a couple rings and a Louis Vuitton tote bag.
I kept my makeup simple for this look. I defined my brows using the Anastasia dip brow pomade in ash brown, winged my eyeliner with my Kat Von D liquid liner and then added some color using Julep’s it’s whipped matte lip mousse in bisou.
A trench coat is something one could keep forever. Trench coats come in many colors, patterns and materials; so there is something everyone will like. Paring your outfit with something like a trench coat can transform your look, and take it to another level.
