STYLE GURU STYLE: Leap into Fall

The long awaited fall fashion is finally here. Summer is long gone and now it’s time to transition into fall. From pumpkin patches to very spooky Halloween haunted houses, fall is far from boring so your style shouldn’t be either!

This outfit incorporates some of my favorite fall pieces. One of the reasons I enjoy the fall is because I love wearing dark colors. My leather jacket will always be my favorite jacket, whether at school, work or a girl’s night out, a black leather jacket is always a go-to piece. Comfortable and effortless, a leather jacket could bring together any look. This sleeveless green dress comes right before the knees and is a perfect color for the fall. It is easy to gravitate towards colors like black, brown or red for the fall. However, I believe darker shades of green are perfect to include in everyone’s fall wardrobe.

Lastly, I decided to complete the look with a pair of black suede knee-high boots. My boots come right at the knee with a chic little tie in the back. The knee-high and over-the-knee boots trend has dominated 2016. It is very rare to walk down any street and not see an outfit without the long boot trend. As someone who is petite, I sometimes hesitate wear to longer boots to avoid looking shorter. However, there are many different style tricks and tips that have helped me wear the chic trend more often.

Although the weather can be unpredictable on some days, fall style can always be fun and cozy. I love walking around my school and seeing all the stylish Fashionistas/os embrace the chilly weather with creative looks. From knit sweaters and statement scarves to long boots and leather jackets, this season provides endless amounts of pieces to grab from your wardrobe!
