With summer finally here, I didn’t waste any time bringing some of my favorite summertime pieces out in my closet. Now if you live in California, you know how complicated it can be when it comes to choosing an outfit based on the weather. We’ve reached the season when it’s freezing during the morning, but blazing hot during the day. So, what’s the best way to beat complicated weather conditions? There’s nothing a playsuit can’t handle!
Inspired by the Chloé spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection, I wore a simple black V-neck playsuit with bell sleeves. This collection mostly featured loose-fitting pieces with sheer fabric and lace details. There were styles from sheer maxi dresses, to puffy long sleeves, to lace-up shoes and they were presented on a variety of models. In addition to these looks, jeans and suede were styled in a very unique, but simple way. Overall the collection modeled a very chic yet effortless look, which is what caught my eye.
In order to translate Chloé’s runway trend to my own look, I kept the playsuit very clean and simple. I stayed away from any statement necklaces that would divert from the details of the sheer sleeves and its lace details. Instead, I just opted for a cross-body bag and my black wedge sandals. This outfit is simple but the details on the playsuit speaks for itself. It is also very light and perfect for the inconsistent weather during summer days!
