STYLE GURU STYLE: Keep It (Class)y

With winter break at its end, I know we will all be busy acing our classes and trying to keep morale up in the brutal cold. If you are not from the Northeast but go to school here… prepare yourself!

The best way to keep spirits up is fine dressing. Not saying it’s a cure-all, but a great outfit gives you the confidence to go out and rule the world. It can be easy to just throw on a pair of leggings and a sweater and head off to class. I know, I’ve done it; but if you put the time in to look good, it will make difference.

My go-to lazy/trying-to-look-nice outfit generally consist off all black. There’s no fuss, it looks effortless because it is. The top is a loose pajama-style button-down from Primark. It is super comfy but it looks put together. My ankle boots may look like a danger to wear with icy sidewalks; however, they are the most comfortable heeled shoe I have ever worn. Find a pair of shoes that look nice but don’t kill your feet. You will become a pro in handling any sort of weather in them. To dress the look down for class, I added this fuzzy coat from Target—do not overlook that store. It adds texture to the outfit. By doing so, you go from throwing clothes on to having a look—something that people will take notice to.

As always, I want to have a pop of color, so I threw on a fun lip color. I went for a mixture of colors here to add definition to my lips. Put one shade all over, then apply a shade a bit darker on the out edges and blend!
