STYLE GURU STYLE: Jump Around

As many fashion lovers already know, the ‘70s style is back again. From bohemian blouses to flared pants, runways have been flaunting the chic components of the decade’s wardrobe staples. One clothing item in particular has successfully invaded its ways back into the industry—the jumpsuit. This style comes in a multitude of variations. Some are sleek and professional and others are fit for a summer full of festival events. The jumpsuit has been a common highlight on runways throughout the past year. Mara Hoffman perfected the style in her fall 2015 ready-to-wear runway show. She incorporated unique fabrics, embroidery and embellishment to each style in order to generate an effortlessly elegant appeal.

Today I found inspiration from Mara Hoffman’s line. I don’t usually subscribe to a certain style; however, I usually find myself wearing tailored and somewhat preppy outfits. This ‘70s outfit was a big step for this ‘90s girl. I decided to keep my outfit pretty simple since I believe a jumpsuit is a big enough statement alone. I paired my favorite blue paisley jumpsuit with a comfortable pair of sandals. Since my outfit featured a halter neckline, I decided to opt out of my tendency to accessorize with a statement necklace. Instead, I donned a pair of pastel earrings. The geometric earring design harmoniously contrasts against the soft lines of the patterned jumpsuit.

Mara Hoffman undoubtedly knows how to make an outfit noticeable, as one can see through her interpretation of jumpsuits. Her minimalistic designs are brought to life by her artistic touch, thus offering outfit inspiration for Fashionista/os everywhere.

Get My Look: 1. A paisley jumpsuit. 2. Elegant earrings. 3. Simple yet stylish sandals.
