STYLE GURU STYLE: Jump Around

Style Guru Style

During the summer, I am all about “easy” clothes. Dresses, rompers and my latest obsession, jumpsuits, are basically all I wear. Not only are jumpsuits easy, they are also super cute and hot on the runway. Another reason jumpsuits are just so awesome is that you can make them look casual or dressy by just changing your accessories. Balmain’s resort 2014 collection had many different jumpsuit looks, in the sexy silhouettes the label is known for. In this collection, the jumpsuits were styled to look dressy, but take those heels off and add a brown leather belt and this denim jumpsuit could easily go from formal to an easy, everyday look.

The silhouette of my jumper mirrored the Balmain look, as it had spaghetti strings on top, cinched at the waist and looser on the legs. I decided to style my blue printed Primark jumpsuit with a more beachy vibe, as I am a true Florida girl. I also wore a straw floppy hat, a gold tone starfish necklace, nude wedges and a mix of gold bangles. I added NARS “Never Say Never” velvet matte lip pencil and a pink Coach “Poppy” flower ring to bring another color into my look.

Jumpsuits are trending at the moment so it is easier than ever to try a look like this out. Make it look dressy and glamorous like Balmain, beachy like me or anyway you want it; that is the beauty of wearing an outfit that consists of one main piece, it is easy to style it the way you want with shoes or jewelry or a bag. Balmain did it right in his resort 2014 collection, easy, sexy outfit all in one? You sold me.
