STYLE GURU STYLE: Headscarves Will Roll

Transitioning into fall can be tricky. However, before the summer heat dies down, this ensemble is perfect to wear for the end of summer. In Toronto, it’s fairly warm during September—so why not wear a headscarf to keep you cool. Clearly, it’s our last chance to wear summer clothes before winter freezes us. Plus, headscarves are super easy to style and it’s fast and fashionable to wear. Before summertime ends, save time by bringing out the headscarf for a chic boho look.

Taking inspiration from the Au Jour Le Jour resort 2016 collection, I mixed the same prints and its summer mood from this collection. The pants are what struck me as something I can recreate from my own wardrobe. Alongside my floral pants, I thought my fringe tank top would make the outfit more airy and fun, similar to the light peasant top.

Besides the floral print, the real showstopper is the headscarf. Easily recreate this look by wrapping the scarf around your forehead. Then, tie and knot it so, it won’t get loose. Nonetheless, if your hair is short, you can totally use a patterned headband instead. This is a simple way to keep your hair down with minimal effort.

In order to pull off the headscarf, incorporate boho vibes. My outfit includes Forever 21 high-waisted floral pants and my Jac Vanek fringe tank top. It’s a great casual daytime look that really ends summer off with a bang. Finishing this look is simple—throw on a pair of leather strap sandals and wear some mirrored sunglasses.

Get My Look: 1. Any retro headscarf. 2. A pair of floral pants. 3. Some strappy sandals.
