STYLE GURU STYLE: Getting Fringe-y With It

As temperatures begin to lower (finally), I prepare my closet to go through a major transformation from tank tops and shorts to jackets and sweaters to stay warm. In the fall, my favorite thing to do is layer my summer clothes with new cardigans and outerwear to maximize my outfit count and get use out of my favorite items.

Two of my favorite items for fall are my green utility jacket and my booties! I can throw my jacket on over anything for an instantly pulled together look and still stay warm in the cooler temperatures without getting too hot.

My booties are my prized possession. I love the unique factors, like the shape and height of the boot, but my absolute favorite element is the fringe on the back. After all, fringe is a huge trend this fall with designers like Rebecca Minkoff channeling boho-chic for both fall 2015 and spring 2016.

The trend is fairly easy to pull off with many items available to enjoy like purses, hats, shoes and even jackets. I pair my camel booties with burgundy pants to add a richer fall color, a lace summer top to still utilize my summer clothes (and save money) and put on my favorite jacket over it to balance out the color and pull the look together with a chic element. I stay on-trend with my gold, fringe earrings and keep other accessories minimal with a bracelet and watch.

The best way to rock fringe is your way! It’s as easy as adding a fringe bag, earring or boots like mine.

Get My Look: 1. Green utility jacket. 2. Booties. 3. Fringe earrings.
