The beginning of March is so promising. The idea of the cold winter months finally starting to drift away for the year runs through everyone’s mind. The flowers start to bloom, the sun starts to shine a little longer, and jeans turn into shorts.
The transition from winter to spring can leave people feeling hopeless when it becomes time to pick out an outfit for the day. With winter colors being so rich and spring color palettes being so subtle, it’s hard to know what is “in season” at the moment.
I was inspired by Giorgio Armani’s fall 2017 ready-to-wear collection. I love how all of the pieces in this collection are very classic, simple, and timeless. Armani’s fall 2017 ready-to-wear collection inspired me to trust in neutral and classic pieces when I am unsure of what to wear. For this look, I wore a simple black and taupe dress from Free People. This dress is perfect for any occasion and can be dressed up or down. I paired it with some blush pink lace-up heels and a blush pink Tory Burch cross-body purse. I have really been loving the lace-up trend for shoes, skirts, shirts, and now chokers! To give the look a little extra detail, I added a lace-up choker and black wide brim hat to finish off the look.
I love wearing simple pieces and adding little accents of detail here and there to complete an outfit. In a world full of trends, you should never forget the classics!
