STYLE GURU STYLE: Fringe With Benefits

Looking for the latest trend this season? Look no further! Fringe is your new best friend. The Burberry Prorsum fall 2015 ready-to-wear show displayed many different variations of how this trend can be worn. Christopher Bailey, the mastermind behind the designs, said he wanted this collection to be free-spirited, joyous and upbeat. In this collection you see items such as ponchos with fringe edging, fringed long jackets and even fringe dresses amongst some of the designs.

Whenever I dress I always like to do something out of the box. In this outfit I chose to keep it classic with all-black, but incorporate some dimension and trends into my outfit as well. The long black fringe skirt I chose to wear is made from suede fabric and has a chic hippie feel to it. The skirt incorporates a mini skirt underneath and layered on top are two different lengths of fringe.

Choosing a simple black high neck blouse and black leather jacket I tried to stay as casual as possible so I didn’t over power the fringe skirt. Another trend that has been popping up this season is pairing sneakers with a dressier outfit. I am wearing my Stan Smith for adidas sneakers that are super comfortable and help dress down the look so you can be street style ready! Sticking to all-black, I chose to wear a long gold chained Yves Saint Laurent bag to complete the look. Choosing a simple bag with an outfit that has a lot of elements to it is the perfect completion.

If your interested in rocking fringe this season there are many other variations you can do to try out this trend as well. There are fringe vests, bags and even shoes that can help you achieve my style!
