STYLE GURU STYLE: Fringe Binge

It’s safe to say that fringe is back and it’s better than ever! A popular trend resurfacing from the ’70s, fringe gives a bohemian vibe to any look. My look was inspired by the Emilio Pucci spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. I absolutely adore this collection because the styles are so fun and unique, while also taking a trip down memory lane to the psychedelic ’70s. This collection inspired me to take my already bohemian look to another level this summer!

I found this Gypsy Warrior kimono on sale this winter at PacSun, and it’s been one of my favorite pieces ever since.  The blue floral detail and the black fringe make for the perfect gypsy look. I paired the kimono with a pair of destroyed boyfriend jeans to add to the bohemian vibe. These jeans are SO comfortable that I can wear them with just about anything for any occasion. They also stray away from everyday simple blue jeans.   Underneath the kimono, I wore a simple black halter top. Halter tops are for sure a Fashionista staple this summer because they are flattering on anyone and are simple enough to dress up any way you like.

To dress up this look, I added a silver coin statement necklace from Hollister Co. I LOVE this necklace because it has the ability to completely spice up anything from a plain white T-shirt to your favorite little black dress. Finally, I wore my favorite black fringe bag that I scored at little boutique in New Jersey. This bag is RAD because of both the style and the size. I love how the fringe sways with me as I walk down the street. This bag is also a little larger than most cross-body bags, which is great when I’m going out for the day and need room for some extra stuff.

When you’re shopping around for your summer wardrobe, don’t be afraid to try some fringe! Other collections can give you some great inspiration for summer style ideas.
