Out with the old, in with the new! Hello to 2017 and to my second semester of college. My first semester was eye-opening and life-changing. When they say you “find yourself” in college, they’re right. Not only do I have a better outlook on life, but my style has evolved immensely. I have become more bold with my personal style as I always aspire to make a statement.
College is not only the time to be yourself, but it also grants every Fashionista the freedom to dress however she wants. The best way to express this freedom in one ensemble? Fringe. Ever since 3×1 came out with a pair of fringe jeans last year, I have been on the hunt for a less-pricey version of the widely coveted piece of denim. Mission was finally accomplished this year, as I found a similar pair on ASOS for less than $100 (similar here), a steal in comparison to 3×1’s version.
The jeans are bold, so I added a plain white T-shirt to the look, making sure to not distract from the statement piece of my ensemble. The belt I am wearing was thrifted (similar here) and I wear it all of the time. Nothing beats a four dollar belt-am I right?! Finally, the booties (similar pair here) have the perfect platform for these jeans. They let the denim standout, but also give this petite Fashionista some height! Just for extra fun and shade from the sun, I am wearing a pair of black round sunglasses, which I am currently obsessed with.
2017 will continue to be a year of growth for me. I cannot wait to grow in my life, in my education, and in this internship. Stay RAD, Fashionistas!
