STYLE GURU STYLE: For The Love Of Chambray

Who doesn’t love J.Crew? J.Crew is one of my favorite brands. They have so many options—preppy, business casual and is still simple yet elegant. I based my style for this week on the J.Crew fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. This collection has a whole bunch of great looks. I wanted my ensemble to look fresh and ready to wear for many occasions. I took my inspiration from Look six and Look 27 and made it my own. This collection showcases a lot of chambray button-downs and some great fitted pants.

My chambray button-down is easily one of the most worn shirts in my closet. It goes with just about anything. Whenever I don’t want to have long sleeves, I just tie it around my waist to add a little extra to my getup. Chambray is a versatile material and can be worn in numerous ways.

Another thing I love about this outfit is my white, Tory Burch jeans. Look six made me love the white pants so I brought them out to play. White jeans are perfect for summer and can be paired with anything. I especially like the cut of the jeans—boot cut, flare. My favorite way to wear pants like these is with wedges. Being short, I enjoy wearing heels and wedges as much as I can. So wearing these and other flare pants in my closet, I always look forward to the wedge or heel to pair them with.

To finish off, I chose my brown, Ralph Lauren cross-body bag and orange Chanel lipstick. The brown of the bag and shoe makes for a nice neutral look, having the orange lipstick pop.

Get My Look: 1. Chambray button-down. 2. White denim jeans. 3. Brown wedges.
