STYLE GURU STYLE: Florals for Spring? Groundbreakingly Classic

One of my favorite things about fashion is that when looking for inspiration, sometimes it can be more beneficial to overlook current trends and look back in time for ideas. This past fall 2015 Erdem line featured stunning metallic floral patterns that I couldn’t help draw inspiration from. There are few things I like more than a good pattern and I really think Erdem perfected a variety within their line. While floral patterns are not exactly revolutionary when it comes to spring fashion, they are classic and can definitely generate an interesting outfit when paired correctly!

Inspired by the intense florals I saw in the Erdem line, I decided to wear a floral jacket I found in my grandma’s closet while helping her do a little spring cleaning. The pattern immediately caught my eye and I knew I couldn’t leave with out it. I love the deep blues and reds in the jacket, which lead me to pair it with a red lace Cosabella tank top I found at Goodwill. Underneath, I wore a nude bralette, an item I truly believe to be one of the most essential pieces in my wardrobe.

Since black, gold and red go so perfectly together and I’m a big fan of chunky jewelry, I wore two thick gold rings and an elephant bangle. I also wore a gold statement necklace because I’m really not sure if you can have too many accessories. I chose green booties because I thought they added to the earthy inspiration I got from the flowers and florals on my shirt and jacket.

Get My Look:  1. Vintage floral jacket. 2. Gold statement pieces. 3. Classic black bag.
