STYLE GURU STYLE: Floral Prints

When looking at designs on the runway, it can be hard to picture them in real life. I love watching runway shows and getting ideas of what I want to incorporate into my wardrobe. One runway show that really caught my eye was PatBo’s spring collection. The designer Patricia Bonaldi contributes beautiful floral prints in her wardrobe. I also love the high neckline of some of the dresses in her collection. That is what inspired my outfit for the beautiful weather this spring season.

I decided to wear my burgundy floral dress for a warm day. I have been dying to wear this dress since I bought it. It was hanging in my closet, and I thought why not? The floral print is subtle, which I loved. It adds a great touch, and I loved walking around campus in it. I also love the high neck of this dress because it flows better on my body and creates a more sophisticated look. I then paired this floral print dress with a denim jacket. However, this is not your usual denim jacket. The angles on this jacket add shape to the dress and complete the outfit. It’s nice to have a jacket in case it gets breezy outside.

To top off the look, I paired diamond sandals for a little sparkle. These shoes are really fun and very comfortable. I wear them with almost all of my dresses and outfits during the spring and summer. Comfortable yet cute shoes are essential for walking to class in style.

When it comes to style, it is important to be true to yourself. Incorporate runway looks whenever you can. Don’t be afraid to take risks, and be true to your own uniqueness. The fun part about clothes is that they tell a story.
