Sandals, pumps, booties, sneakers and wedges the list goes on and on. Shoes: one of my many obsessions in my overflowing closet. I can’t seem to pinpoint my shoe obsession to a certain age, however I only know that it’s been an ongoing problem for many years. One of my latest favorites is animal print, specifically leopard!
After seeing the Altuzarra pre-fall 2015 show I was inspired to get myself a pair of leopard print shoes. The pairing of the leopard with the olive green clothing and leather lacing gave the collection an overall safari feel. Leopard is featured throughout the show in several looks ranging from jackets and pencil skirts to high heels. For the summer, I felt that leopard print sandals would complement my wardrobe quite nicely since I didn’t have any other shoes like them and felt that they would add a perfect finishing accessory to many outfits. I chose this particular sandal style because I felt that it highlighted the leopard pattern better than a gladiator style per say.
For my look, I decided to keep the attention on the sandals and paired it with a bright coral dress. I added a black and gold purse to match the gold and black in the sandals. I tied in a long gold necklace and a studded watch to give the outfit a slightly edgier feel.
It’s always exciting for a shoe lover like me to come across a unique pair of shoes. The rush of getting a new pair of shoes never gets old and could be seen as plain addicting. As long as new styles keep emerging, Fashionistas like me will be there to seek them out.
