STYLE GURU STYLE: Feverishly Feminine

A lasting joke within our society is that most women are very particular about the way that they look and the clothes that they wear. But has anyone ever really thought about why that is? When it comes down to it, most women just want to feel comfortable and beautiful in their own skin, and fashion helps us to do just that! In Oscar de la Renta’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection, he keeps femininity the main focal point. With tons of pinks, ginghams, skirts and crop top styles walking down his runway, Oscar de la Renta’s line screams both dainty and flirty!

When looking through this fashion show, it came to me that feminine looks are something many women grab for when they want to feel pretty and girly. I realized I was included among those women when I threw on my cream scalloped shorts from Urban Outfitters, along with my light pink crop top and floral kimono from Brandy Melville. Paired with my Express sandals and my gold initial necklace, this is one of my favorite outfits when I want to feel feminine and confident in my own skin!

This outfit holds many of the same features that Oscar de la Renta’s looks possess, however this outfit may fit in a little better with everyday lifestyle. You could wear this outfit to almost any event, whether it’s going to the movies, going to a summer concert or going out to eat with friends! Oscar de la Renta’s spring 2015 collection definitely inspired me to wear what makes me feel pretty and confident!

Get My Look: 1. A pair of scalloped shorts. 2. A light colored crop top. 3. A floral kimono.
