STYLE GURU STYLE: Feminine Florals

As spring is finally here, it’s time to dress like it! It’s finally time to say goodbye to big jackets and sweaters until next year! I don’t know about you, but I am so sick of my winter jacket and am ready to hide it away in the back of my closet until next year. I always try to embrace the warmer days by brightening up my outfit by wearing fun Florals. I sometimes have a hard time in the spring because bright colors are definitely not my style and I always revert to the basics blacks, grays and whites.

I was so inspired by Mara Hoffman’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection. I absolutely loved the way she incorporated fun designs with some lighter, more pastel colors. The style of the clothing was much more flowy and airy, which is exactly what you want to wear in the spring. It was the perfect combination of feminine and casual.

I’m so glad to have found this Free People tunic because it has just the right amount of colors and detail! The tunic style is one of my favorites because it is so much more than just a basic shirt! Paired with the shirt are light wash jeans, which are a spring staple because they can easily brighten up your outfit instead of wearing the typical dark denim. With the light jeans are my favorite pair of booties that can easily be transitioned from fall to spring, so don’t hide them away in your closet just yet!

The secret to toping off any great outfit is always accessorizing! I layered my favorite bar necklace with longitude latitude coordinates and a leather chocker. For some arm candy, I added my Alex and Ani bracelets, and some fun stacked rings. Lastly, once the sun comes out, I never go anywhere without my sunglasses!
