STYLE GURU STYLE: Feeling High-Waisted and Distressed

Going into this fall season one of my favorite trends that I’ve been sporting is the high-waisted pants. Not only do I love the slimming look but the fall neutral colors allow you to look super sophisticated and fashion forward. Designer’s such as Versace and Acne Studios came out with high-waisted pants in some of their ready-to-wear designs for fall 2015. They inspired me to buy some of my favorite pants that I am currently obsessed with.

My outfit consists of a black pair of distressed Hollister Co. jeans, a burgundy knit crop top, a pair of black open toed booties and a black knit beanie. I accessorized with a black cross-body bag and a pair of aviator glasses. What I love about this pair of black jeans is how easily I can dress them up or down. Although I chose to wear a knit crop top, on colder days I love to pair my jeans with an oversized knit sweater and black leather slip on shoes. When I feel like going out, I can pair a white peplum top over the black jeans and wear a pair of stilettos. I probably wear them more often than I should but black is such a staple color it’s hard not to wear them every chance I get.

My second favorite part about my outfit are probably my shoes. These open toed booties believe it are not come from Payless ShoeSource. I shock people when I tell them that but they are really some of the most of affordable and fashionable shoes I have. I love the way they tie my outfit together.
