STYLE GURU STYLE: Fearlessly Feminine

Nothing says spring more than floral prints! Chanel’s spring 2015 couture collection definitely caught my attention. The girls graced the runway with bare midriffs, slouchy skirts and floral trims. Each look had couture written all over it, accessorized with ravishing Edwardian hats and puffy beanies. The collection played with color and different textures which gave it an edge compared to other runway shows.

Spring is my favorite season, the weather is not too hot not too cold, it’s perfect. You can wear a mini skirt and long sleeves and still get away with it. With winter ending, it’s the season you can mix and match cold weather with warm weather pieces. Chanel’s collection inspired me to bring out the girly gal inside of me. I decided to take bits and pieces from the runway looks and form an ensemble that adheres to my personal style.

I started with a bold colored, floral print A-line skirt for my bottoms. The minute I saw this while shopping, I knew I had to add it to my wardrobe! For the top I decided on a black long sleeve crop top with lace detailing. In my opinion nothing is more feminine than lace textures. I’m an accessory kind of girl so, I added a statement necklace and a satchel to my outfit. To finish my look I wore my favorite pair of over the knee leather boots. These boots make a statement and are worth every penny I spent.

Get My Look: 1. Lace crop top. 2. Floral skirt. 3. Over-the-knee boots.
