STYLE GURU STYLE: Fashion Forward into Fall

Hello fashion lovies! Well, sunny and 75 never felt so good, and I cannot get over the beautiful transition into fall—mainly because I can mix and match summer and fall pieces and not die in the heat or freeze wearing a skirt.

So lets talk about my outfit. Hats are a fall must! I got this black one at Revolve Clothing, and I haven’t been able to take it off. It goes with every single outfit and adds the perfect amount of chic and sass to your look. On the topic of accessories, let’s talk about the jewels. Chokers are a necessity; they are becoming a part of my everyday wardrobe, and I cannot get enough. I throw on a choker with every outfit (even a T-shirt and Nikes), and it makes you look that much more fabulous! The layered necklace look is in too, so take advantage of deep V-neck top opportunities and layer up.

Moving onto this Brandy Melville silky satin top. I love this piece: 1) because it is black, but 2) because of the front self-tie detail with the lace trimming on the sides! You can make this top a fun festival look or throw on some black jeans with pumps and make it a night-on-the-town outfit, and the best news is that it was only $25! I decided to summer-up this fall look by adding a light pink mini skirt to the mix! Before I get into my all black fall looks, I like to add pops of color to my transition outfits. It also gives it a fun, flirty, girlie vibe.

Lastly, let’s talk shoes. I love that throwing kicks on with a cute outfit is totally acceptable now because it is so comfortable and way cute. High-tops are in, and they are a fun fall addition. These are my favorite pair of Nike high-tops that I bought from J.Crew a few seasons ago, but I am loving all the fun high-top color combos that Vans is coming out with for this season! Be sure to order a pair, because we all need them in our closet!

Make sure to have fun with your outfits during the short few weeks we get of being able to wear skirts and short sleeves!
