STYLE GURU STYLE: Fashion Flurries

New York Fashion Week recently ended after a series of amazing shows. Great looks featuring some awesome fur jackets, trench coats, and throwback styles to the ‘70s flared pants and fringe. One of my favourite shows was Banana Republic. I love their classy, elegant and simple looks featuring some great tights and jackets. All of their looks have great mix-and-match pieces that would be super applicable to any Fashionista’s wardrobe.

My favourite look was look 37. This look was assembled using basic wardrobe pieces that are so versatile and interchangeable. They are basic pieces that, when using different styles or materials, can really create a unique outfit that is all your own.

I love how easy this look is to create and it consists of some of my favourite pieces. I love skirts, tights, jackets and, of course, graphic T-shirts! The graphic T-shirt is an item that almost every Fashionista owns and it can be very self-expressive. There are so many graphics that you could choose from!  The skirt is another very customizable piece. You could pair any skirt you like with this outfit and it would look great—from fitted to flared, and lace to leather. The statement piece of this outfit is the long, oversized, loose-fitting jacket. I obsess over jackets and I personally love this long, oversized, pale pink jacket that I chose for this outfit. It is perfectly long and soft, and the billowing hood is great for snowy days like this to keep the drifting and blowing snow out of your face.

Get My Look: 1. A fitted skirt. 2. A long oversized jacket. 3. A pair of block heels.
