STYLE GURU STYLE: Fall Fashion

Hi peeps! It’s been a while, but that is what happens when life gets crazy busy within the span of a couple weeks. Fall is officially here and I could not be happier. Why, you might ask? Fashion during the seasons of fall and winter are my absolute favorite because I love sweaters, leggings, boots and everything else that us Fashionistas wear during these months. Often times I find myself re-wearing so many things, but discovering so many new ways to wear them. Layering is a big part of my wardrobe because it makes outfits more fun and fall is the perfect time to try something new, like layering your sweaters with your graphic T-shirts!

Chunky sweaters are my weakness and there is no way around that. While shopping, I tend to gravitate towards the sweater section and in my mind the chunkier the better. These sweaters are so versatile which is why I tend to love them; they can be good for cuddling up by a fire with a good book or even for a day while you’re on the go. Heck, I will even throw a men’s sweater over my outfit when I know that I will be sitting through classes all day. Pictured is the most comfortable Umgee sweater (that I actually wear as a dress) from last season that yes, I still wear this year. All-in-all, I love sweaters. Have you picked up on that?

My second favorite piece of clothing to throw on during these chilly months are a great pair of boots. Shoes typically never go out of style and that’s part of the reason that I love mine so dearly—also because I’ve had them for so long and I tend to spend a pretty penny on a great pair of boots that will last me a while. Over-the-knee boots are definitely a big trend this fall and I’ve even purchased a pair myself. Pictured are my new favorite boots from On Cloud 9 in Athens, GA and as soon as I saw them, I knew that I had to have them. My go-to boots are my Frye boots that I bought last year and they pair with anything and everything, which is part of the reason I love them so much. Frye can be a little more expensive but they are worth every penny, take my word for it.

Fall style is the best because anything is acceptable. Skirts, leggings, jeans, sweaters, cardigans, graphic T-shirts, heck…even sweats make up my fall wardrobe. This season is fun because it is so easy to let your style shine through—own it!
