STYLE GURU STYLE: Fall Details

As the leaves start to fall and the weather gets colder, it’s important to layer up but always look on point. We Fashionista/os are packing up our shorts and sundresses for comfy wool sweater and leggings. As a fellow lover of pumpkin spice (#guilty), I love fall and can’t wait to show you my favorite fall look.

I’m the type of person who doesn’t enjoy wearing thick sweaters every day. I enjoy a good jean jacket to get me through fall without worrying about sweating profusely by noon. I’m wearing a black jean jacket from Forever21 that does the job. It’s a closet piece for anyone because of the ability to pair it with about any single piece of clothing. For this look, I paired the jacket with my orange American Apparel turtleneck long-sleeve crop top and white ripped jeans. My top is perfect for fall and pairs well with the little pieces of jewelry I wore. My ripped jeans also add texture to my simple outfit. The colors of white and orange mesh well with the entire look. To top off the entire look, I paired some brown booties to create a complete fall look that is comfortable to walk around campus in as well. A comfortable, yet cozy fab look to wear in this Oregon weather.

To recreate this look, get yourself a jean jacket! It can be black, white or the classic denim. You can patch it or keep it plain. Decorate it according to your personal style. A cute suede skirt with black tights or a simple skater dress will create a simple fall look. Jean jackets are the best staple piece for this season, so go on and get one!
