STYLE GURU STYLE: Fab Faux

There are a million different things I love about fall: the cozy crisp air, the array of beautiful burnt colors that the leaves fade into and busting out my fall wardrobe. The beauty of fall fashion is the ability to look completely stylish and gorgeous, while also being as comfy as you can ever be.

In Frame’s fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection, I see a lot of where my inspiration comes from. This collection focuses on using casual but form fitting jeans and pairing them with a stylish coat–whether that be a leather jacket or more of a bulky vibe, and then closing the outfit off with a simple pair of black boots.  A very recurring vibe in all of my articles and outfits is this idea of street chic and pairing comfortable with edgy.

In the past few years, it has become incredibly popular and stylish to buy faux fur coats and vests, which is probably the most amazing fad to have started. Stores and designers have traded in the real fur for fake fur that looks insanely real, and everybody is really digging it!! And besides the fact that this is an amazing huge step in stopping the torture of animals for a stylish coat, it has also made owning a fur coat a much more accessible opportunity, in the sense that you don’t have to lose an arm and a leg for a pretty coat. You can pretty much pair these with any kind of outfit, but today I chose to pair it with a pair of light blue jeans with knee rips from rag & bone. My fur coat is actually from Zara about a year or two ago, but since then tons of accessible stores have begun to follow the trend and sell similar styles. My scarf, which is one of my favorite fall accessories that I own, is a wool scarf from Aritzia, and it has to be just the warmest thing ever. And then I paired the outfit with a simple pair of black boots from Dolce Vita and of course my go-to every day bag from MZ Wallace.
