If there’s one look I’ve seen floating around a lot this summer, it’s the matchy-matchy look. That is why I love the Rebecca Minkoff resort 2015 collection — it really plays off this trend. What I like about the trend is that it creates a top-to-bottom uniformity in your look. It’s the same concept that comes from wearing a jumpsuit, but it’s a two piece! This trend has already made its way from the runway to the streets. But if you haven’t gotten the hang of it yet, I can show you how to make it work with your wardrobe!

Also a lot of stores now sell combination sets, but you can always look in your wardrobe and fetch out items that look similar. Here I wear two polka-dotted pieces that were bought at separate times, for different outfits. The crop top is very appropriate for the summer season. And what’s a more worthy match for the cropped tee than a pair of high-waisted pants?

To accessorize, I matched the look with my favorite pair of sandals. The pattern in the shoes really changes up the look. I also matched my lip with a purple hat to add some funk to it! I think finishing your look off with a hat makes you look more creative — like a performer or an artist.

You can make a matchy-matchy look with almost any two items in your wardrobe. It could be the shirt-skirt combo, the shirt-pants combo or the shirt-shorts combo.
