If you are feeling bored with your summer wardrobe, tie-dye is the perfect way to instantly energize your wardrobe. With colors swirling in shades ranging from bright to soft, tie-dye is never boring, which made it an immediate must-have for my wardrobe. Just looking at vibrant tie-dye patterns instantly makes me happier! This trend also gives me nostalgic ‘90s vibes so I wanted to have a nod to that while still reinventing it and making it feel fresh.
To assemble my outfit, I took inspiration from the spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection by Valentino. This show caught my eye because of how it used tie-dye in various looks both as statement pieces as well as for an accent. For my look, I used tie-dye as a striking statement with my multicolored bodysuit. Another recurring trend from the Valentino show was leather. I incorporated this into my look with my leather circle skirt. I am a firm believer in rocking leather during the day; you don’t need to wait until night falls!
To add more of my personal signature to this outfit, I put on some of my go-to accessories. Of course, I had to select a choker necklace since I wear them almost every day. I ended up deciding on this choker set, which also contributed to the ’90s vibe. For shoes, I put on my favorite pair of white sneakers, which have snakeskin detailing on the heel. These are awesome because they are insanely comfortable and can be worn with at least 90 percent of my closet. I topped off my look with my army green baseball hat. I love the baseball hat trend for summer because it’s practical as it shields your face from the sun, but it also gives the outfit a new dynamic and saves you from a day of hairstyling!
